After several exchanges of correspondence with local authorities regarding our concerns about security of this school, we have finally received a response from the new Sub-Prefect Philippe RONSSIN. The latter informed us have requested the Director of DPO in Fontainebleau, in order to take all steps to ensure the safety of children.
Moreover, a municipal decree of December 5, 2008 rendered enforceable December 8, 2008, request that the closing of the court be moved to the balconies of dwellings do not overlook more. We regret that to date nothing has been done and that children continue to play under these balconies ...
However, we have just been informed that the Board of DPOs in Fontainebleau has decided not to renew the lease to the school when it comes to an end, June 30, 2010. Hopefully no incidents to mourn during this second school year as we remain convinced that the premises are not suitable to receive a school. We are still happy with this decision because we thought that this might become interim final ..!
We now hope that the school "Le Roseau" will find good accommodation for the start of September 2010 in order to better fulfill its educational mission.
